Bahe Cook Cantley & Nefzger PLC Partner Vanessa B. Cantley has been named to the Conference Faculty as a featured speaker for the upcoming Trial Skills From the Woman’s Perspective legal conference. The seminar, organized by 360 Advocacy, will be held from March 12th – 13th at The Ritz Carlton in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Vanessa will be speaking on Sunday, March 12th on the subject of understanding one’s legal adversaries and their strengths and weaknesses. In her presentation, Judo Law: Using the Defendant’s Strengths Against Them, Vanessa will draw from her extensive experience, including experience from the defense perspective, to discuss her insight on tailoring trial strategies. The conference and Vanessa’s presentation will benefit lawyers from across the region, especially those who represent plaintiffs facing tough and resourceful opponents during litigation.
Over the years, Vanessa has established herself as a proven Kentucky personal injury lawyer and tough litigator with a reputation for her unwavering passion when protecting the rights of the injured and the wronged. Her selection to the Conference Faculty and the fact that she was requested to present at the event speak volumes about the respect she has earned in the legal community, as well as the insight and depth of knowledge she can share with other attorneys who are also committed to plaintiffs’ advocacy.
Sharing her insight in order to help other legal professionals improve the quality of representation they provide clients is only one of the many achievements Vanessa has earned in her career. In addition to helping our clients recover millions of dollars in compensation, she is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Louisville School of Law, where she teaches a course on Civil Litigation Skills, a member of the Kentucky Justice Association’s Board of Governors, and the current Founder and Vice President of the Women Trial Lawyers Caucus, among other notable roles. She was also recently selected as one of the Top 50 Attorneys in the state by Kentucky Super Lawyers® magazine.
