Patrick E. Markey is a partner at Bahe Cook Cantley & Nefzger PLC. Mr. Markey has significant experience working with, and helping, those in need in the legal system. Prior to being admitted to the practice of law, Mr. Markey spent nearly eight years working as a court employee and helping individuals who suffer from the disease of addiction to change their lives.

Mr. Markey believes that the United States legal system can, and should be, an accessible means to help make whole those who have been harmed.

LEGAL BACKGROUND

Mr. Markey also believes in the value of hard work. He was able to finish law school ranked second out of one hundred twenty-eight students in his class at the University of Louisville while living and working full-time in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He also participated in the American Bar Association's Negotiation Competition, served as a student attorney for the University of Louisville's law clinic, was a member of the University of Louisville Law Review, and was selected for membership in the Brandeis Honor Society. He was named the law school's "outstanding graduate" for the December 2014 commencement ceremony and received other awards due to academic achievement. He received his undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University. Mr. Markey is the father of two beautiful daughters. He and his wife are proud to raise their children in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He was admitted to the practice of law in Kentucky in May 2015.
